Prayer Room
Opportunities to Pray

All are welcome to pray in our Cooper Prayer Room. From Florida Street, enter the door with the awning.  Once you are inside the church, go up a couple of  steps on the right. Next, look for the first door to the right, marked prayer room and you will find a quiet, comfortable area to pray for your specific needs. We have an additional prayer room  located in our J.O Smith Building which is mainly open on Sunday and Wednesdays during worship, Sunday School, and activities.

Intercessory Prayer
Praying for others, intercessory prayer, is an act of hospitality and love. Jesus Christ is our model for intercessory prayer.  For there is one God, and one mediator (intercessor) between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1Timothy 2:5). It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us (Romans 8:34). Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them (Hebrews 7:25). We can now approach God on the basis of the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross of Calvary for the remission of sins. Because of the blood of Jesus, we can approach God boldly without timidity (Hebrews 4:14-16).

Jesus was an intercessor while He was here on earth. He prayed for those who were sick and possessed by demons. He prayed for His disciples. He even prayed for you and me when He interceded for all those who would believe on Him. Fellow prayer warriors pray believing the person or request you are lifting up in prayer will be answered. ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:3)

At the top of this page are links to individual ,church, community, and Nation/World requests or opportunities for prayer. Opening the door of our hearts and minds to pray for others takes time and energy so ask God for the strength, wisdom and opportunity to serve as an intercessor.
